Consequently, the demand for ambulatory oncology nurses has rapidly increased to meet the complexities of caring for patients with cancer in a high-volume setting. Hiring new graduate nurses into ambulatory oncology has been the topic of many discussions to alleviate the nursing demands in this environment. Developing and implementing an oncology-specific ambulatory nurse residency program supports and guides new nurse residents. |
