Psychological maltreatment: What doctors need to know.

Psychological maltreatment (PM) is a widespread and often misunderstood form of childhood maltreatment. This paper reviews the different forms PM can take, its prevalence and risk factors, as well as when concerns about PM should be reported to child protective services.
