| Sumario: | Life care planning, a relatively nascent specialty practice, has only been widely known since the 1980s. Since that time, a library of life care planning literature has emerged. With almost five decades of data accumulation through life care planning professional conferences, 25 years of life care planning summits, and peer-reviewed journals and textbooks, methods codifying how life care plans are developed have emerged. There has, however, been less attention paid to methods used when conducting a life care plan peer review. This article traces the history of publications on this topic and introduces the Work Product Peer Review Method, upon which life care planners throughout North America are currently being trained.
