As culturo-behavior scientists, we can provide the framework for effective action in response to Federal, state, and local governments' treatment of immigrants through use of nonviolent resistance, learning from civil justice leaders and fellow behavior scientists. This paper draws on the robust evidence for nonviolent resistance and the practical tools in our field and presents a matrix analysis of various actor/sector behaviors that have the potential to successfully counter the escalating harms of ICE raids in our communities. Now is the time to apply our expertise to support and organize nonviolent action, strengthen local coalitions, and guide effective advocacy.
