ab: Objective: To develop and validate the appearance of a 3D prototype design for sexually transmitted infection prevention during sex among cisgender women. Methods: This is a methodological study carried out from November 2021 to May 2023 in the city of Fortaleza, Ceará, in four stages: bibliographic survey; situational diagnosis; 3D prototype development; and external appearance design validity by judges and the target audience. The Content Validity Index (CVI) was used to assess the prototype. For descriptive data analysis, simple and relative frequencies were calculated. Results: In literature review, devices such as the Dental Dam, male condoms for sex toys, tongue condoms, latex panties, as well as latex, rubber and plastic film gloves were highlighted. In situational diagnosis, among the 97 participants, the devices considered most attractive and suitable for sex among cis women were the Panty Condom (51.5%) and the Origami (18.6%). Based on the review and the participants' choice of the ideal model, 3D modeling was performed with the team of engineering professionals. The prototype presented an overall CVI of 0.80 both by expert judges and by representatives of the target audience. Conclusion: A preliminary version of a condom prototype for sex among cis women is presented, validated in terms of design appearance by judges and the target audience, which may favor the improvement of a device intended for sexually transmitted infection prevention during sex among cis women.
