Mother’s knowledge, attitude, and approach are crucial for effective management. This descriptive study aims to determine the knowledge, attitudes, and approaches of mothers children aged 0-6 years. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews (n=377) at XXX Hospital via Personal Information Form, the Parent Fever Management Scale (PFMS), and the Fever Management Approach tool (FMA). Data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0. Mean age was 29.62 ± 5.80; a significant portion (26.8%) were primary school graduates, mean age at first motherhood was 23.48 ± 4.66, and 2.06± 1.07 children. Mean PFMS was 34.40±5.0, FMA score 22.52±4.85. 64.7% showed "functional approach" in fever management. Mothers’ age, education, motherhood age showed similarity across PFMS and FMA groups (p>0.05), while mean PFMS scores differed based on FMA groups (p<0.05). Mothers with functional attitude had higher fever management scores. Knowledge of fever definition was significantly higher in functional approach (p<0.05), while other characteristics were similar. Findings highlight the importance of providing education and counseling to mothers on fever management to raise awareness. This may contribute to reducing unnecessary emergency visits by supporting mothers to provide more functional care to their children. Yüksek ateş çocukluk çağında acile başvuru nedenleri arasında ilk sıralarda yer almaktadır. Annenin bilgi, tutumu ve yaklaşımı süreci etkin yönetebilme açısından önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı 0-6 yaş çocuğu olan annelerin ateş yönetimindeki bilgi, tutum ve yaklaşımlarını incelemektir. Tanımlayıcı tipteki bu çalışma XXX Hastanesi’nde, 377 anne ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler yüz yüze görüşme yöntemi ile Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Ebeveyn Ateş Yönetimi Ölçeği (EAYÖ) ve Ateş Yönetimi Yaklaşımı (AYY) ile alınmıştır. Veriler SPSS 25.0 programında analiz edilmiştir. Annelerin ortalama yaşı 29,62 ± 5,80, çoğunluğu ilkokul mezunu (%26,8) olara belirlenmiştir. Ilk anne olma yaşı ortalaması 23,48 ± 4,66 belirlenirken ortalam çocuk sayısı ise 2,06 ± 1,07 olarak belirlenmiştir. EAYÖ puanı ortalaması 34,40 ± 5,0, AYY puanı 22,52 ± 4,85 olarak belirlenmiştir. Annelerin %64,7’sinin ateş yönetiminde "fonksiyonel yaklaşım" sergiledikleri belirlenmiştir. Grubumuzda, anneye ilişkin özellikler (yaş, eğitim durumu, ilk anne olma yaşı) EAYÖ, ateş yönetimi yaklaşımında benzer dağılım gösterirken (p > 0,05), annelerin ateş yönetimindeki yaklaşımlarına göre ebeveyn ateş yönetimi gruplar arasında farklı bulunmuştur (p < 0,05). İşlevsel tutum sergileyen annelerin ateş yönetimi puan ortalaması yüksek bulunmuştur. Ateş değerini bilenlerde fonksiyonel yaklaşım yüksek bulunurken (p < 0,05), diğer gruplar benzer bulunmuştur. Bulgular ateş yönetimi konusunda eğitim ve danışmanlık uygulamalarının önemini göstermektedir.
