These lecture notes, written in Latin, provide insights into the daily lives and thoughts of the writers through personal annotations and doodles. The manuscripts document the education of the monks, which was often associated with high financial costs, and highlight the significance of Aristotelian philosophy in the teaching of that time. The cataloging of the manuscripts is expected to be completed by 2025 to ensure comprehensive digital availability. Der Artikel behandelt die Sondersammlung der Zentral- und Hochschulbibliothek Luzern, die eine Gruppe von Handschriften aus dem 16. und 17. Jahrhundert enthält, die von Mönchen des Zisterzienserklosters St. Urban verfasst wurden. Diese Vorlesungsmitschriften, die in lateinischer Sprache verfasst sind, bieten Einblicke in das Alltagsleben und die Gedanken der Schreiber durch persönliche Anmerkungen und Kritzeleien. Die Handschriften dokumentieren die Ausbildung der Mönche, die oft mit hohen finanziellen Aufwendungen verbunden war, und zeigen die Bedeutung der aristotelischen Philosophie im Unterricht dieser Zeit.
