      ab: India's traditional medical heritage encompasses a vast body of indigenous plants and substances. Over the years, practitioners and researchers compiled these into homoeopathic literature through provings, monographs, and observational records. Despite this rich history, many indigenous drugs have been underutilized in contemporary practice. This retrospective observational review synthesizes knowledge from established homoeopathic sources including the authoritative Homoeopathic Materia Medica of Indian Drugs (CCRH, 2011), classical materia medica texts, and indigenous drug compilations to highlight the historical roots, therapeutic relevance, and regional significance of lesser-known Indian remedies. The review outlines conceptual foundations such as desha-satmya, examines the contextual framework of Indian-origin drugs, and proposes a structured approach for their thoughtful integration into modern homoeopathic prescribing. The aim is to reinvigorate scholarly interest and clinical consideration of these underexplored remedies.
