| Sumario: | An interview with Alma Pustovaitienė, a celebrated Lithuanian folk singer and storyteller from Kupiškis. She is the leader of the folklore ensemble Kupkėmis, which marks its 30th anniversary this fall, and she is also the founder of folklore festivals like Lingaudala, Sutarjėla, and Sėlių dainos ir giesmės [Songs and Hymns of the Selonians]. Pustovaitienė has created collections including Kupiškėnų vestuvės [Kupiškis Weddings], Jir atskrido sakalalis. Kupiškio krašto dainos [A Falcon Has Flown: Songs from the Kupiškis Region], and Kupiškio krašto archeologinės ir mitologinės vertybės [Archaeological and Mythological Treasures of the Kupiškis Region]. She also recorded the CD Kupkėmio laja [Kupkėmis Canopy] and the DVD Kupiškio krošto sutartinas [The Multipart Songs of Kupiškis], among many other projects. Her life story was documented in her native Kupiškis dialect.
