Methods: Qualitative secondary data analysis based on an instrument with 73 competencies, which differentiated primary research questions from secondary research questions. Using this instrument, a comparative analysis of the questions from both studies was performed. For this second study, seven competencies were used that correspond to the category of advanced nursing practice performance. MAXQDA® software was used for data analysis. Results: A total of 831 interviews with nurses from all regions of Brazil were analyzed. The analysis revealed that, despite training and policies that guarantee autonomy, the performance of professionals lacks advances for the full exercise of their activities with authority and autonomy. In addition, it points to the need for advances in the development of advanced nursing practice in the country. Conclusion: In general, the clinical activities performed in Primary Health Care in Brazil reveal the authority of nurses to request laboratory tests, imaging tests, medical supplies, indicate health treatments, make decisions about treatments, therapies, and other procedures. pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: research tables/charts Journal Article ougenre: Article language: English refInfo: holdings: @attributes: islocal: N |
