Sumario:	This article provides a comprehensive overview of the Federal Probation and Pretrial Academy (FPPA) and its development over 20 years since its establishment in 2005 to train U.S. probation and pretrial services officers. It details the expansion of the FPPA’s staff, training programs—including the flagship Initial Probation and Pretrial Training (IPPT)—and its adaptation to challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic through virtual training modalities. The FPPA’s accreditation by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation (FLETA) Board and its evolving firearms and safety review processes are highlighted as key milestones. Looking forward, the FPPA plans to integrate artificial intelligence and advanced technologies to enhance training effectiveness and address the increasing complexity of officers’ caseloads.
