Purpose: This paper aims to highlight the significance of transformational leadership in the hospital environment and its practical implementation. Methodology: A narrative literature review was conducted, based on articles from scientific databases (PubMed/Medline, Google Scholar), using specific keywords in both Greek and English, as well as printed books and online sources. Results: Transformational leadership is based on the leader's ability to inspire, motivate, and mobilize staff by creating a vision that unites team members and promotes collaboration and innovation. Its implementation in hospitals leads to improved healthcare service quality, increased efficiency and staff satisfaction, while simultaneously enhancing autonomy and participation in decision-making. This leadership style can act as a catalyst for change, fostering a positive work climate, professional development, and better patient care. Especially in the nursing field, the leader's role is crucial to the smooth operation of the unit and the assurance of service quality. Conclusion: Supported by emotional intelligence and organizational awareness, transformational leadership contributes to the creation of an environment of continuous development and mutual trust, essential for addressing the challenges of the modern hospital. pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: review Journal Article ougenre: Article language: English refInfo: holdings: @attributes: islocal: N |
