| Sumario: | The COVID-19 pandemic led to mandatory stay-at-home measures, resulting in technology replacing the traditional face-to-face educational process with digital learning tools and distance learning, increasing technology usage worldwide. Digital tools allowed the continuation of education and created new opportunities for flexible and personalized learning practices, raising questions, however, about implementation, effectiveness, security, adoption, equal opportunities for learners, and the adequacy of teacher training. The aim of this study is to assess the contribution of digitized tools and distance learning education used during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the post-COVID era. In conclusion, a combination of face-to-face and online education, along with the integration of digital tools, can improve the educational process by enhancing performance, addressing the concentration issues of younger generations, promoting critical thinking, facilitating personalized learning - self-teaching - selfimprovement, and simplifying educational procedures that previously had to be managed individually by educators. However, it is essential to provide appropriate training to teachers, resolve concerns about privacy, ensure equal opportunities through the provision of equipment, safeguard the academic integrity of the curriculum, and eliminate the potential for cheating.
