Saudi Arabia’s Civil Aviation Holding Company (Matarat), through the National Centre for Privatisation and Public-Private Partnership (PPP), has issued an expression of interest for redeveloping Prince Naif Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in the Qassim Region on a design, finance, construct, operate, maintain, and transfer basis. Additionally, Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) has tendered superstructure contracts for the expansion of Al-Maktoum International Airport, including a new West Terminal with a 45 million passenger capacity and an automated people-mover system. The article also notes prior developments such as prequalification for the Taif International Airport project in Saudi Arabia.
