This study aims to investigate the factors influencing inpatients' perceptions of rehabilitation program treatment and recovery. Understanding these factors is essential for improving treatment outcomes and enhancing patient care within community-based and institutional rehabilitation programs. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in five rehabilitation centers across the Philippines. The sample included 624 inpatients aged 14–60, 66.7% male and 33.3% female. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The Treatment Perception Questionnaire (TPQ) was the primary tool, and regression analyses were used to explore the relationships between social, psychological, and demographic variables. Results: The study revealed that gender, age, education level, income, and type of treatment program significantly affected patient perceptions. Methamphetamine users reported lower treatment efficacy perceptions compared to cannabis users. Education was inversely related to program perception. Staff perceptions also showed correlations with demographic factors, indicating the need for individualized approaches in treatment programs. Conclusions: Perception of treatment efficacy among inpatients is shaped by various demographic and drug-related factors. Tailored rehabilitation approaches are necessary to improve treatment adherence and outcomes.
