| Sumario: | The article "Demotica Selecta 2024" offers a comprehensive overview of current research and publications on Demotic, the late antique Egyptian script and language form. The focus is on exhibitions, editions of Demotic texts, digital projects such as the DimeData database and the Turin Papyrus Online Platform (TPOP), as well as methodological approaches to the palaeography and linguistics of Demotic. Additionally, archaeological excavation reports, cultural-historical studies on social and legal aspects (such as women's rights and inheritance), and the embedding of Demotic literature in transcultural contexts of the ancient world are presented. The contributions demonstrate the significance of Demotic for the study of Egyptian society, administration, and religious practice in the Greco-Roman period, while also emphasizing the challenges and progress in the digital exploration and interpretation of these sources. Der Artikel „Demotica Selecta 2024“ bietet einen umfassenden Überblick über aktuelle Forschungen und Publikationen zum Demotischen, der spätantiken ägyptischen Schrift- und Sprachform. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Ausstellungen, Editionen demotischer Texte, digitale Projekte wie die Datenbank DimeData und die Turin Papyrus Online Platform (TPOP) sowie methodische Ansätze zur Paläographie und Linguistik des Demotischen. Zudem werden archäologische Fundberichte, kulturhistorische Studien zu sozialen und rechtlichen Aspekten (etwa Frauenrechte und Erbschaft) sowie die Einbettung demotischer Literatur in transkulturelle Kontexte der antiken Welt vorgestellt. Die Beiträge zeigen die Bedeutung des Demotischen für die Erforschung der ägyptischen Gesellschaft, Verwaltung und religiösen Praxis in der griechisch-römischen Zeit und betonen zugleich die Herausforderungen und Fortschritte bei der digitalen Erschließung und Interpretation dieser Quellen. |
