Early mobility is central to patient safety and enhanced recovery; however, practice gaps often lead to variability. This article highlights why strengthening nursing competence and confidence in mobility assessment is essential to improving patient outcomes. Guided by Lewin's Change Theory and Roy's Adaptation Model, this initiative demonstrates practical strategies through education, workflow enhancements, pocket guides, visual cues, and mobility support to improve documentation adherence, increase ambulation, reduce falls, and advance safer patient care. Thirty-five registered nurses participated.
