Key themes include the development, implementation, and evaluation of IPE curricula and programs aimed at fostering teamwork, communication, and collaborative competencies among health professions students and practitioners. Several studies highlight innovative educational strategies such as simulation-based learning, virtual reality, student-led initiatives, and interprofessional clinical placements, demonstrating positive impacts on learner attitudes, knowledge, and patient care outcomes. Challenges identified encompass institutional barriers, cultural differences, limited faculty development, and inconsistent assessment methods. Emerging frameworks and tools for evaluating interprofessional identity, collaboration quality, and program effectiveness are presented, alongside calls for greater integration of patient and community voices, leadership competencies, and sustainability measures. The research underscores the importance of contextually relevant, theory-informed, and inclusive approaches to advance IPE and IPC, ultimately aiming to improve health equity, patient safety, and system responsiveness worldwide. pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: abstract clinical trial proceedings research review systematic review Journal Article ougenre: Unknown language: English refInfo: holdings: @attributes: islocal: N |
