| Sumario: | The article focuses on Lifestyle Redesign® (LR), an occupation-based intervention developed to address loneliness, social isolation, and unhealthy behaviors that contribute to chronic diseases and premature mortality. Originating from the University of Southern California and supported by extensive empirical evidence, LR promotes meaningful engagement in daily activities to maintain health and functional independence, particularly among older adults. International adaptations of LR demonstrate its cultural flexibility and potential to improve health outcomes and reduce healthcare costs across diverse populations and settings. The article highlights recent research on LR’s implementation, feasibility, and adaptation, emphasizing the need for person-centered approaches, rigorous evaluation, and coordinated global collaboration to enhance training, equitable access, and integration within healthcare systems.
