| Sumario: | In this article, I examine the concept of the kingdom of God in the Gospel of Mark. Several interpretations of the kingdom of God have been proposed (christological, ecclesiological, eschatological, political, thaumaturgical, ethical, mystical), but they do not explain all fourteen occurrences in the Gospel of Mark. I propose to consider Isa 52:6-8 as the background of Mark 1:14-15 to understand the nature of the kingdom of God. Specifically, the ideas of the announcement of good news, the kingship of God, and the recognition of God are presented in Isa 52:6-10 as well as in Mark 1:1, 11, 14-15. Therefore, the kingdom of God in Mark appears to be associated with the recognition of Jesus as the Son of God. Furthermore, I propose that the Spirit (1:8) is instrumental in the coming of the kingdom.
