Sumario:Background: Sepia officinalis, derived from the ink of the cuttlefish, is one of the most prominent marine remedies in homoeopathic therapeutics. Despite its frequent clinical use, several therapeutic indications described by different stalwarts remain overlooked. Objective: This article aims to explore and compile the therapeutic indications of Sepia officinalis as described by various pioneers of homoeopathy, including Hahnemann, Hering, Boenninghausen, Kent, Farrington, Clarke, Allen, Boericke, and others. Methods: Classical materia medica, repertories, and clinical literature from major homoeopathic stalwarts were reviewed. Key rubrics from Kent's and Boenninghausen's repertories were also compiled. Results: This compilation reveals both wellknown and lesser-known indications of Sepia, including: mental/emotional states (indifference, coldness, spitefulness); physical symptoms (yellow saddle across nose, stiffness, upward direction of pains, hot hands with cold feet); clinical conditions (dysmenorrhoea, enuresis, cough, sinusitis, malaria); and characteristic modalities (worse from kneeling, consolation; better from crossing limbs, vigorous exercise). Conclusion: Studying Sepia through the insights of multiple stalwarts provides a comprehensive, reliable understanding that aids accurate prescription and expands its therapeutic application.
