ab: In homoeopathy, accurate case taking and precise remedy selection constitute the foundation of effective treatment. The appropriate selection of rubrics plays a pivotal role in the process of selection of most similar remedy. Among the various rubrics available in repertories, the "Ailments from" or causative modality rubrics are of particular significance, as they assist in identifying the underlying etiological factors responsible for the manifestation of disease. These causative factors may be physical, emotional, or environmental in nature. Students frequently encounter difficulties in identifying the most relevant rubrics and in determining the appropriate method of prioritising them during the process of repertorisation. Therefore, it becomes essential to promote a clearer understanding of the clinical significance and practical application of "Ailments from" rubrics to enhance their effective utilisation in homoeopathic practice. This article highlights the importance of rubric 'Ailments from 'in Synthesis repertory through the presentation of two clinical cases successfully treated with homoeopathic medicines.
