However, for parties to use these metrics to their advantage, appropriate display of said metrics is critical. The present work leveraged a recently developed parametric, time-varying model of team multitasking throughput (tMT) displayed in real-time. In an experiment, tMT was presented in one of three different displays to convey dyad efficiency (a no-display control condition was also included). Subjects were led to believe they were paired with eight different human partners demonstrating high and low performance in a multitask environment requiring visual and auditory resources. Results showed that team efficiency was affected by display type when working with low and high performing partners. However, measures of subjects' efficiency were affected by display type differently depending on their partners' performance. In addition, we explored differences between two candidate displays on measures of efficiency and subjects' subjective usability ratings.
