With the growing population of cancer survivors, the need for comprehensive survivorship care has become increasingly essential. The Canopy Center addresses a wide range of challenges--including physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs--through accessible services that welcome every patient and caregiver, regardless of financial background, insurance status, or treatment location. Importantly, all services are provided at no cost. Purpose: The purpose of the Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center is to provide a centralized, accessible hub where cancer survivors and caregivers can receive the support and resources needed to navigate life after a cancer diagnosis. Interventions: To achieve this mission, the Canopy Center implemented a range of evidence-based interventions. These include individualized care plans, educational workshops, support groups, and counseling services. Integrative therapies such as yoga, meditation, wig fittings, breast prosthesis fittings, and nutrition counseling address holistic well-being. In addition, caregiver support programs equip family members with tools and knowledge to effectively support their loved ones, reinforcing the center's comprehensive, family-centered approach. Results: The impact of the Canopy Center's initiatives is assessed through patient and caregiver attendance records and direct participant feedback. Consistently increasing attendance at workshops, support groups, and wellness activities demonstrates the center's expanding reach and effectiveness. Positive participant feedback highlights improvements in coping skills, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life. These findings affirm the Canopy Center's essential role in enhancing survivorship care within the community. In FY 2025, the Canopy Center recorded more than 11,800 guest encounters, offering over 45 unique programs with approximately 100 classes and activities per month. In addition, the center provided essential services including breast prosthesis and wig fittings, counseling services, child and teen support, and oncology navigation support sessions. Discussion: The outcomes of the Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center highlight its effectiveness as a no-cost, inclusive resource that empowers cancer survivors and care- givers. By addressing holistic needs and removing financial barriers, the center advances patient-centered care and fosters community well-being. Continued support and expansion of survivorship services are critical to meeting the evolving needs of survivors and ensuring that no one faces cancer alone. pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: Journal Article ougenre: Article language: English refInfo: holdings: @attributes: islocal: N |
