| Sumario: | Significance & Background: Specialty certification is linked with safer care and stoner professional outcomes. Literature reports associations between higher proportions of certified nurses and lower complications, falls, and healthcare-associated infections, along with improved work environments and nurse satisfaction. Cost and fear of failure are common barriers. Reinstating ONCC Free Take Program directly reduces financial risk, while cohort study and gamified practice target readiness and engagement. Purpose: The purpose of this quality improvement project is to increase the number of RNs holding an OCN or BMTCN (TCTCN) certification by at least 15% on an acute care oncology/BMT unit. Interventions: Project implementation from June 2025 to December 2025. Using a nurse-led, PDCA shared governance approach, we implemented a bundled strategy: 1) monthly education sessions 2) circulating library of ONS textbooks 3) oncology themed game nights 4) reinstatement if the ONCC Free Take Program 5) peer to peer study cohorts 6) weekly quizzes. Measure: Primary - unit certification rate and exam pass rate. Process measures - attendance, study hours logged, Free Take enrollments, exam scheduling with 90 day window. Secondary - change in self efficacy for exam readines. Exploratory - correlation of certification growth with unit level nurse sensitive indicators. Results: We anticipate higher exam take rates and at least 15% growth in oncology certification. Wew expect improved sefl efficacy and knowledge retention consistent with game based learning strategies. Discussion: A pragmatic bundle that combines Free Take financial support, nurse educator led study sessions and weekly quizzes, study cohorts, and gamification review are feasible and align with ONS guidelines. Leaders should pair recognition with structural supports to sustain gains.
