Coordinated by Rossend Arqués and mainly translated by the Dante scholar Raffaele Pinto, this monumental three-volume edition includes an extensive critical apparatus, illustrations of medieval manuscripts and works by renowned artists, as well as 18 thematic essays that facilitate a multifaceted reading of the text. Pinto chose to base the translation on the critical text established by Giorgio Petrocchi, although he incorporates variants and detailed philological explanations, and makes linguistic and onomastic interventions, especially in complex passages such as those of the Malebranche devils, whose names were adapted into Spanish by Juan Varela-Portas de Orduña. The work is valued as a rigorous resource of great bibliographic worth, aimed both at scholars and readers interested in universal culture. El artículo se centra en la edición anotada bilingüe en español e italiano de la *Divina Comedia* de Dante Alighieri, publicada por Ediciones Akal en 2021 con motivo del VII Centenario de la muerte del poeta. Coordinada por Rossend Arqués y traducida principalmente por el dantólogo Raffaele Pinto, esta edición monumental en tres volúmenes incluye un extenso aparato crítico, ilustraciones de manuscritos medievales y obras de artistas renombrados, así como 18 ensayos temáticos que facilitan una lectura polifacética del texto. Pinto optó por basar la traducción en el texto crítico establecido por Giorgio Petrocchi, aunque incorpora variantes y explicaciones filológicas detalladas, y realiza intervenciones lingüísticas y onomásticas, especialmente en pasajes complejos como el de los diablos Malebranche, cuyos nombres fueron adaptados en español por Juan Varela-Portas de Orduña.
