The work argues that meditation, understood as an introspective, compositional, and hermeneutic practice, is grounded in rhetorical categories that are key to understanding the Christian worldview and medieval culture. Furthermore, it highlights that these authors conceived meditation as an open and incomplete process that invites the active participation of the reader, challenging the idea of a dogmatic and closed Middle Ages. Finally, meditation is presented as a hermeneutic-dialogical practice that integrates the past and the present to guide Christian life toward contemplation and knowledge.
