On August 15th, Maria Radna stands out as a major pilgrimage site, comparable to September 8th, the Feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God. This study focuses on the August 15th celebration, examining the religious, cultural, and commercial layers that have gradually taken shape at Maria Radna. On the occasion of the Dormition, the basilica becomes a site of convergence structured around two fundamental dimensions: the religious component - encompassing the pilgrimage, liturgical services, and activities coordinated by the Roman Catholic Church - and the secular component, manifested through the fair organized in connection with this day of considerable spiritual importance. The fair extends, in a secular manner, the intensity of the experience of the celebration, offering participants opportunities for social interaction, as well as the purchase of goods and food products. This study represents a preliminary, prospective stage of a broader research project situated at the intersection of cultural anthropology and sociolinguistics. L'Assomption de la Vierge Marie revêt une grande importance pour les chrétiens du monde entier. Le 15 août, Maria Radna s'impose comme un repère majeur, tout comme le 8 septembre, jour de la Nativité de la Vierge Marie. Cette étude se concentre sur la célébration du 15 août, en examinant les strates religieuses, culturelles et commerciales qui se sont progressivement constituées à Maria Radna. À l'occasion de l'Assomption, la basilique devient un espace de convergence articulé autour de deux dimensions essentielles: la dimension religieuse - qui comprend le pèlerinage, les offices liturgiques et les activités organisées par l'Église catholique romaine - et la dimension profane, représentée par la foire organisée à l'occasion de cette fête de grande portée spirituelle. La foire prolonge, dans un registre laïque, l'intensité vécue de la célébration, offrant aux participants des possibilités de sociabilité ainsi que l'achat de divers objets et aliments. Cette étude constitue une première étape, à caractère prospectif, d'un projet de recherche plus large inscrit dans les domaines de l'anthropologie culturelle et de la sociolinguistique. Adormirea Maicii Domnului este un moment de o majoră importanță pentru creștinii din toată lumea. În 15 august, Maria Radna reprezintă un reper, la fel cum este și ziua de 8 septembrie, când se sărbătorește Nașterea Maicii Domnului. Pentru studiul de față, am avut în vedere ziua de 15 august, cu straturile sale religioase, culturale și comerciale, create în timp la Maria Radna. Cu prilejul Adormirii Maicii Domnului, bazilica1 devine un punct de convergență cu două componente fundamentale: cea religioasă, care include pelerinajul, slujbele și activitățile gestionate de Biserica Romano-Catolică, dar și cea profană, care se desfășoară în jurul târgului organizat cu ocazia acestei zile de mare însemnătate duhovnicească. Târgul organizat prelungește în mod laic intensitatea acestei zile, oferind tuturor participanților posibilitatea de a se întâlni, de a achiziționa obiecte și alimente.
