Each prevention program has essential components, so this study uses the implementation research logic model to evaluate these programs. Methods: A scoping review was done using PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Scopus, CINAHL, and LILACS databases. A PCC strategy was used: P – adolescents (10–19 years), C – determinants, implementation strategies and mechanisms of action, and C – alcohol and other drugs for the eligibility criteria. The results were summarized using the implementation research logic model. Results: Fifty prevention programs were identified. The programs were tested in developed countries with outcomes of prevention of alcohol and other drug use and well-being. They are organized into modules: adolescent development, skills, family, protective education, and social aspects. The essential components have been organized into determinants (relating to internal and external configurations), implementation strategies, and action mechanisms represented graphically.
