While patching remains the longstanding standard of care, adherence challenges and its inherently monocular approach have driven the development of a new generation of digital and perceptual learning-based therapies. This article reviews five clinically relevant technologies--Luminopia, CureSight, AmblyoPlay, Bynocs, and RevitalVision--examining their mechanisms of action, treatment protocols, and supporting clinical evidence. Collectively, these platforms represent a meaningful expansion of the amblyopia treatment toolbox, offering patients and clinicians options that are engaging, home-based, and in many cases, capable of addressing the binocular and cortical deficits that patching alone does not target.
