Children with persistent fear, aggression, and behavioural dysregulation often show poor communicative intent, limiting the effectiveness of conventional speech therapy alone. Case Summary: A 3.5-year-old boy presented with severe expressive speech delay (LEST: 11), poor communicative intent, night terrors, aggression, and intense fear of being alone. Based on the totality of symptoms and a psoro-syphilitic background, Stramonium was prescribed in infrequent doses. Outcomes: Over 10 months, improvement followed a clear sequence, emotional stability first, then gradual emergence of speech. The LEST score improved from 11 to 31. Conclusion: This case suggests that addressing mental generals in developmental delays may facilitate speech by resolving deeper emotional blocks, allowing natural development to resume.
