Sumario:This article focuses on advancing health equity through the implementation of race-conscious approaches in pediatric clinical practice, particularly in clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) and clinical reports (CRs). It highlights persistent barriers to adopting race-conscious medicine and emphasizes the importance of dissemination and implementation (D&I) science frameworks to facilitate equitable adoption across healthcare settings. The article also addresses the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in evidence-based medicine, noting both its potential to improve care and the risks of perpetuating bias due to nonrepresentative data and opaque algorithms. Key stakeholders, including medical societies, researchers, healthcare organizations, and AI industry partners, are identified as essential to developing transparent, trustworthy AI tools that support equitable pediatric care.
