| Sumario: | Objective: To synthesize recent clinical evidence (2015–2025) on herbal interventions and natural adjuncts for common symptoms in Universal Palliative Care (UPC). Methods: Searches were conducted in PubMed, Scopus, and Cochrane for systematic reviews and clinical trials in humans (English/Spanish). Results: Eleven studies were included. Honey reduced oral mucositis severity and treatment interruptions; ginger decreased acute chemotherapy-induced vomiting; sennosides showed efficacy comparable to osmotic laxatives for constipation; and lavender essential oil reduced anxiety when administered by inhalation or massage. Conclusion: These interventions showed potential as adjunctive therapies in UPC and may have applications in protocolized primary care. |
