Given the scarcity of data on the sector, scholarly studies heavily rely on the accounts of publishers, leading to the need to pose methodological questions. The study suggests that interviews are narratives in themselves, rich in data to be studied through textual analysis, and it examines interviews with publishers with variables focused on their content and form while developing the notion of publishing outlooks to detect how the publishing landscape and the roles of publishers are defined.
