The research was conducted using a quantitative method with a relational survey design. The study group consisted of 463 employees working in the central and provincial units of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD). Data were collected using the Organizational Stress Scale developed by the researchers, whose validity and reliability were established. The scale comprisesfour sub-dimensions: task and workload-related stress, organizational structure and management-related stress, stress arising from operational resource inadequacy, and stress related to interactions with external stakeholders and disaster victims. The findings showed that overall organizational stress levels were moderate to high. Stress levels differed significantly according to age, length of service, reason for choosing the profession, and service class, while no significant differences were found based on gender.
