Sumario:The article discusses a study which shows the ingrained but largely invisible barrier of neighborhood disadvantage in clinical trial recruitment and retention among older adults as of 2026. It states that addressing the issue will need multifaceted approaches that prioritize research infrastructure, community partnerships, and novel initiatives, and that the participation gap has been a function of space. Also noted is the need to effect clinical trial access for all, irrespective of location.
