| Sumario: | Objective To explore the effect of the "Internet Plus extended nursing service" model combined with the knowledge-attitude-practice (KAP) health education model on quality of life and coping styles in patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma. Methods A total of 60 patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma admitted to Beijing Fengtai Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from January 2022 to January 2025 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly assigned to a control group and an observation group using a random number table, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received conventional treatment and routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received "Internet Plus extended nursing service" combined with KAP health education intervention on the basis of the control group. Both groups received intervention for 6 months. Baseline data, Cancer Fatigue Scale (CFS) scores, Morisky Medication Adherence Scale-8 (MMAS-8) scores, Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire (MCMQ) scores, thyroid function indicators (thyroid-stimulating hormone [TSH], thyroxine [T4], and triiodothyronine [T3]), and Generic Quality of Life Inventory-74 (GQOLI-74) scores before intervention and after 6 months of intervention were compared between the two groups. Nursing satisfaction after 6 months of intervention was also compared. Results After 6 months of intervention, scores for each CFS dimension, total CFS score, MCMQ avoidance and resignation dimension scores, and TSH level in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The MMAS-8 score, MCMQ confrontation dimension score, T3 and T4 levels, GQOLI-74 score, and nursing satisfaction in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The "Internet Plus extended nursing service" combined with the KAP health education model can reduce cancer-related fatigue, improve medication adherence, optimize patients' disease coping style and facilitate individualized management of thyroid function, and help improve quality of life and nursing satisfaction in patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma. Therefore, it is worthy of widespread clinical application.
