This study aimed to predict post-divorce adjustment based on attachment to God and emotion regulation strategies among divorced women. Methods: This descriptive-correlational study was conducted in Qom City, Iran, in 2024. The statistical population comprised divorced women attending counseling centers in Qom City, from whom a convenience sample of 209 individuals was selected. Data were collected using the post-divorce adjustment scale, the attachment to God inventory, and the emotion regulation questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression in SPSS software, version 27. Results: The findings indicated significant correlations between the predictors and post-divorce adjustment. Attachment to God showed a positive correlation (r=0.34, P<0.01), adaptive emotion regulation exhibited a stronger positive correlation (r=0.438, P<0.01), and maladaptive emotion regulation showed a negative correlation (r=-0.49, P<0.01). The final model accounted for 32% of the variance in post-divorce adjustment (R=0.57, R²=0.32, F=32.58, P<0.01). Conclusion: The results underscore the significant predictive power of both attachment to God and emotion regulation abilities for the psychological adjustment of women following divorce. These findings highlight the importance of incorporating spiritual and emotional factors into supportive interventions designed to facilitate the post-divorce adjustment process. pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: research tables/charts Journal Article ougenre: Article language: English refInfo: holdings: @attributes: islocal: N |
