Sumario:This article reviews Rayyan.ai, a web-based platform designed to support workflows in evidence synthesis, particularly systematic and scoping reviews. Rayyan.ai offers collaborative screening features, including blinded and unblinded review modes, and incorporates AI tools such as a Support Vector Machine–based prediction classifier, AI Reviewer, AI Analyzer, and AI-assisted data extraction. While the platform’s screening interface is user-friendly and accessible via free and paid tiers, its AI functionalities currently require substantial human oversight due to inconsistent data extraction, potential bias, and limited transparency, which may affect reproducibility and journal acceptance. Rayyan.ai is suitable for researchers, librarians, and students conducting evidence syntheses, but its AI features are best used as decision-support aids rather than replacements for independent human review.
