We describe implementation of the Aims Innovations Research Management System, a cloud-based unified platform that supports the operations pipeline and includes participant-facing AI agents for outreach, screening, consent, and follow-up. Controls include private AI endpoints with no-training assurances, study isolation, human handoff thresholds, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) safeguards, and tamper-evident audit logging. As of June 2026, 10 academic institutions completed governance reviews and initiated studies across diverse research designs. An initial pilot suggests there are efficiency gains, which warrants multisite evaluation.
