The policy emphasises multidisciplinary research, innovation, equitable capacity building, ethical governance, translational research, and stronger public–private partnerships, marking a substantial advance over previous frameworks. Its success will depend on sustained funding, effective institutional governance, a skilled clinician-scientist workforce, interoperable digital infrastructure, responsible AI regulation, and robust monitoring through measurable outcomes. This viewpoint highlights the policy’s key strengths, discusses potential implementation challenges, and offers practical recommendations to facilitate successful execution.
