Sumario:The article presents news briefs concerning education. The redevelopment of the elementary school science program in the Madison, Wisconsin Public Schools involves the preparation and transmission of 14 half-hour television programs for the intermediate students. The year-end report by John Pastres, director of Educational Research and Development for the Clark County schools in Las Vegas, Nevada has showed that 11 percent of the system's expenditures are supplied by federal sources. The Walt Disney Elementary School is constructed in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Findings of a study in the Tulsa schools indicated that African American students are more likely than white to stay in schools. The Florida State Department of Education has designated four school libraries as demonstration centers to which visitors will be referred for observation of exemplary programs.
