| Sumario: | Dosoftei's "Psaltirea pre versuri tocmită" possesses a dual value: an aesthetic one, reflected in its Baroque sensibility, and a didactic-theological one, expressed through its poetic rendering of the scriptural message. The present study highlights the work's cultural-anthropological dimension by examining references to the body and corporeality in the Psalms. From the perspective of both cultural and Christian anthropology, the body is interpreted as a locus of spiritual experience, suffering, prayer, and the hope of resurrection. The analysis reveals the tension between bodily fragility and divine protection, characteristic of the Baroque imagination, demonstrating that Dosoftei's poetics articulates a unified Christian Orthodox anthropology in which bodily vulnerability does not diminish human dignity but instead opens the prospect of transfiguration and eternal life.
