Sumario:This article focuses on the growing interest of education researchers in the U.S. in university data processing centers. The growth of computing in universities has not been easy at first. But universities were eager to accept the challenge of providing computing facilities for faculty and students. It was noted that the financial structure of a computing center has set the pattern of computer usage for the university. In addition, it was observed that most universities have recognized the importance of the computer to research.
