Summary:	The article examines the notions of vorlaufen and Vorläaufigkeit, which means provisionality of thinking, in Martin Heidegger's work "On Time and Being" in 1962. Work notions such as preceding, foregoing and preparatory are intepreted. The notion of temporarity or provisionality in ontotheology refers to the concept of the totality of being as that which will someday be understood. The notion of provisionality then indicates the difference between ontotheology and Heidegger's thought.
