Sumario:	The article evaluates the performances of educable mentally retarded children on the Oseretsky Tests of Motor Proficiency pre- and post-participation in a physical developmental program. EMR children who participated in the program showed an improvement in performance in the gross motor skill components of the Oseretsky Test. Furthermore, the EMR group who participated in the program surpassed the group who did not participate in the program on the majority of items of the posttest.
