Surface-Enhanced Hyper-Raman Spectra and Enhancement Factors for Three SERS Chromophores. SEHRS Spectra on Ag Films at Pulse Energies below 2 pJ.

The article examines three chromophores with relative surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and surface-enhanced hyper-Raman spectroscopy (SEHRS) in silver colloidal suspensions. It is indicated that SERS can be a specific probe for chemical and bioanalytical sensing and imaging applications. The...

Sumario:The article examines three chromophores with relative surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and surface-enhanced hyper-Raman spectroscopy (SEHRS) in silver colloidal suspensions. It is indicated that SERS can be a specific probe for chemical and bioanalytical sensing and imaging applications. The SEHRS spectra are broader than those of the SERS mainly because of the greater line width of the pulse laser source. The SERS and SEHRS spectra of the three chromophores significantly differ.
