      ab: The article examines the effectiveness of stereoscopic presentation in improving the visualization of spatial relationships in structural chemistry. Two programmed texts were used to present the written content of the experiment. The first program introduced concepts by associating them with the structures of fictional two-dimensional crystals presented as line-drawings. On the other hand, the second program contained frames requiring responses. The ideas developed were revised and applied to problems in which crystals were represented by photographs of structural models. It was concluded that its use in the program resulted in an increased performance level in the non-stereoscopic test.
