Sumario:The article presents several solutions to problems affecting church-related educational institutions in the United States. Ownership and control of church-related institutions of higher learning are two of the fundamental problems that must be considered by those who wish to continue its presence on American education. Churches and religious orders not owning the colleges and universities they sponsor is one challenged to be face. Devising power structures that conform to the reality of the world will help in the survival of the church-related institutions. Moreover, studying the history of church-related colleges and universities in the United States can provide solutions to the problems confronting them.
