| Sumario: | Presents an interview with the American writer Hayden Carruth about his life and works. He was born on August 3, 1921, in Waterbury, Connecticut and finished his education at the University of North Carolina and the University of Chicago. He had published several books including poetry and novels and has been an editor of poetry. Out of his profession, he was able to gain several awards and achievements which made him to become a renowned writer. When asked about how he started writing poetry, he recalls the time that he was still a child where he was influence by his family. He was inspired by his poet father, grandfather and his mother who was also an author. He also comments on his experiences when he became a teacher at Syracuse University in New York.
